Our adult day care staff is comprised of medical professionals who have a passion for older adults and have had formal education regarding their specific needs. Staff has been specifically chosen by our Nurse Practitioner, who has worked side by side with them in Skilled Nursing Facilities and observed their care and compassion. The Regency Senior Club™ staff are a team of passionate individuals working toward a common goal helping Tucson’s older adults age with dignity.
Our President is a Board Certified Geriatric Nurse Practitioner who provides oversight of all clinical aspects of the Club. She provides the initial physical/psychosocial assessment of all new members and and addresses any acute medical issues that arise during Club hours and communicates with member’s Primary Care Providers regarding any medical concerns.
Life Enrichment Director
Our Director organizes events and community outings and is responsible for the planning and implementation of activities for Club members. The Director designs programs to encourage socialization, provide entertainment, relaxation, fulfillment, and improve daily living skills. The Director leads and directs the work of other staff, including the Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Recreational Team Leads.
Medical Social Worker
Our licensed Medical Social Worker (MSW) helps those who suffer from varying illness and health hazards. Our MSW refers member/ family to community resources and helps provide access to services such as financial assistance, legal aid and housing. Our MSW counsels members/families in individual and group sessions to help them overcome dependencies, recover from illness, and adjust to life. The MSW organizes our caregiver support group and counsel family members to assist them in understanding, dealing with, and supporting the member.
A Nurse is on our premises daily to administer medications, perform assessments and educate members and families on any health related issue. The Nurse is available to offer first-aid if needed and communicates with the member’s Primary Care Provider for any medical change in condition.
Certified Nursing Assistants
The CNAs monitor vital signs as well as perform showers or any other hygiene service requested by the member. They assist members with toileting as needed. Our CNAs also assist in the day to day activities to include serving lunch.
Recreational Lead Staff
Our Leads conduct recreation activities with our members. They assist in organizing and promoting activities, such as arts and crafts, sports, games, music, dramatics, social recreation, and hobbies, taking into account the needs and interests of individual members. Lead staff serves our lunch meal and assists Members who may need help during the meal.
