Does the Club have a license, certification or accreditation?
The Regency Senior Club™ is licensed as an Adult Day Health Care Center in AZ.
What types of payments are accepted?
Long Term Care Insurance may pay for attendance. The member will need to investigate his/her policy. We accept check, credit card and automatic payment withdrawal.
Is there a minimum number of hours required?
What is the daily cost?
Costs are based on the Membership level and the number of hours of attendance per day.
Is there financial aid or a sliding scale rate?
Not at this time.
Are there any additional charges for specific services?
Some services are offered at a fee. Please see “fee for services.”
Does the Club offer its own transportation services?
Not at this time, however we can assist in making arrangements with local companies.
What are the staff qualifications?
Staff are required to show proof of licensure based on position, at the time of hire. All will have CPR and First Aid certifications. Every staff member must pass a background clearance.
What is the number of staff for each member?
There will be 1 staff member for every 8 members. Number of staff may be adjusted up based on member need.
Does the Club provide specific services for individuals with dementia?
All members will be pre-screened for their cognitive abilities. All activities are individualized based on the need of the member.
Will the Club evaluate the person’s needs, interests and abilities? How will this evaluation be accomplished and how often will it be repeated?
The Geriatric Nurse Practitioner will perform a medical/psycho-social evaluation which will include family history, cognitive functioning and social skills, upon enrollment and for any change in condition. The GNP will reevaluate every 6 months or as needed.
Are people with dementia separate from other participants or included in general activities?
Activities will be specific to the member’s cognitive ability. Those without dementia will not be in the activities designed for those with dementia.
Will the Club’s staff help with grooming, toileting, eating, showering and other personal care tasks?
Basic toileting, eating and some personal care tasks will be provided by staff and included in the membership fee. Some services, such as showering are a “fee for service”.
Does the Club provide nutritious meals and snacks? Can the Club accommodate special diets or provide a culturally specific menu?
Snacks and fluids are available all day. A hot 3 course meal designed by a Dietitian is prepared and catered daily. We will have the capability of accommodating special diets (with a medical order).
Will the Club dispense medication and/or offer medication reminders?
Yes, medication will be administered if requested and reminders provided by the Nurse.
Is the Club equipped to deal with someone who uses a wheelchair, who is hearing or visually impaired, or who is handicapped in another way?
All CNAs and Recreational Lead staff have been trained on how to deal with medical equipment; transferring members; how to address those who are hearing or visually challenged. Documentation of training will be in each employee file.
